Few are the organizations today that do not have access to amounts of data unthinkable a short time ago, data related to their activity, environment, customers, suppliers... Business intelligence, understood in a few words as the set of procedures and tools capable of helping in decision-making processes is an increasingly relevant factor with a greater impact on the quality of service offered by organizations and even on their ability to survive in an increasingly sophisticated and competitive world. Within this category of software tools oriented to data analysis, Microsoft Excel pivot tables are one of the simplest and most versatile tools that exist. Using dynamic tables we can classify, count, summarize and analyze lists of data in an extremely simple way, allowing us to look for patterns and trends in them, as well as create attractive interactive reports that allow the user of the dynamic table to explore the data. In this book, aimed at Microsoft Excel users regardless of their initial knowledge, we will review all the concepts and options associated with pivot tables with the aim of turning this powerful tool into a basic support for our professional activity.
